St. George's Festival at Wrest Park
Today we had the oppportunity to go to St. George's Festival at Wrest Park. It was another English Heritage place that we can go back to explore later on and the entire estate was enchanting. It was a fun Renaissance festival put on by a traveling company. This particular festival focuses on the story of St. George and his defeat of the dragon. There were multiple activities going on all day that included jousting, sword fighting, fighting re-enactments, and tours of the estate and house. Aislyn was a sport and loved running around in the grass collecting sticks and trying to eat them, gag! But we had a great time and the sun was shining most of the day which was a nice change of pace from all the clouds we have been experiencing lately. This estate was seriously breathtaking and was only an hour drive from the base. The pictures don't do it justice! It was a blast to attend with the Lubben families and let the kids all play together.
