6 months!

Where has the time gone?! How is our little girl six months old already? She is such a joy! We couldn't have asked for a better little girl. She rarely cries unless she is hungry or tired. Otherwise she is an absolute joy. She has now started talking and babbling all day long. She also squeals and laughs. She loves the mirror and loves playing with her stuffed animals, as well as loves her books. We have limited the toys and have gotten her to be more involved with books and puzzles. She loves throwing things and trying to stand up. Aislyn is such a wonderful first child. We finally broke the zero percentile this week in weight! She is now in the third percentile with weight and weighed in today at 12 lbs 14 oz, 25.5" long, and her head measured 16.35". She took her shots like a champ as well. Other big developments are that she has started solids and loves them! She sucks down the purées so fast and doesn't like it when they are gone! She has also started sitting up on her own and started exploring the crawling stances. We love our Azy babe!

We had to take her in two weeks ago to be put under anesthesia for a special hearing test. Azy was born with a birth defect on her right ear known as microtia of the ear. Basically she laid against the umbilical cord in the womb and it prevented her ear from fully opening and developing. She has an extremely narrow ear canal and we will continually be watching it until we have it surgically corrected when she is older. She passed the test with flying colors and we couldn't be happier that she is just fine.

In other news we are waiting still to hear where we will be stationed. We submitted our list for our next station assignments three months ago. It's purely a waiting game as they place dentists and other doctors to fill the vacancies. We are hoping to go overseas and have a chance to see new parts of the world! We have started to enjoy warmer weather and getting out of the house. We had the opportunity to have my parents here last week and got to explore some new parts of Omaha. Mike and I have yet to explore a lot of what the town has to offer but we are hoping to get around to it before we move at the end of July.

And now for the photo bomb...

Here's some of the pictures with the grandparents.

Mike and I were able to do our first session together in awhile at the Winter Quarters temple while they were here. It was such a good experience to renew our beliefs and spend that time together.

More pictures of Omaha with the parents.

Azy also got to go swimming for the first time! She loved it!!

She also experienced grass for the first time and the rest are just random pictures.
